Great playing exercise for children and learn the balance.
Went on a Weds afternoon. We don't speak or read much Japanese, but managed to register and participate in everything. Did not do reservations. It seems like your wrist band color represents your groups starting/ending hour. We had to wait 40 minutes, but it gave us time to walk around and plan which activities we wanted to do first. There is also an arcade on the 1st floor that is free for people waiting. There was Mario Kart, fishing, and the Taiko Drums. A couple of the machines were out of service though. Parking garage is free up to three hours with validation. I recommend bringing your own snacks and water bottles, but there are vending machines if needed. As the adult chaperone, I still had to pay 500Y to walk around even though I wasn't jumping or climbing on the areas. We plan on returning real soon, but only on a weekday. I don't want to know how crazy this place gets on a weekend or holiday.
The main Tondemi area requires participants to be between 110cm and 190cm tall and weigh between 20kg and 120kg. Children aged 3 and over who are under 120cm tall can use the dedicated Kids Area. One guardian aged 18 or older must accompany each group of up to five children of elementary school age or younger. If siblings are divided between the main Tondemi area and Kids Area, two or more adult guardians are required for proper supervision.
Online reservations are recommended and save 100 yen compared to same-day tickets. Reservations can be made up to 30 minutes before your intended session. First-time visitors must register as members and pay a one-time 500 yen registration fee. All participants must wear special Tondemi socks, which cost 350 yen for first-time visitors and must be brought on subsequent visits. Visitors should arrive 30 minutes before their session time to complete check-in procedures.
Watches, hats, scarves, and metal objects like chains must be removed before activities. Glasses, including sports glasses, must be removed for activities like trampolines and the Air Run where they may pose a risk of injury. All jewelry including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings must be removed for safety reasons. Comfortable athletic clothing is recommended, and skirts or loose-flowing garments should be avoided. Free rental shoes are available if needed, though visitors can wear their own sneakers including outdoor shoes.
All sessions are 90 minutes long, with entry times beginning every 30 minutes. The standard admission fee of 2,400 yen provides access to all activities including the trampoline area, climbing walls with 13 courses across 11 difficulty levels, the 42-meter rope course, and the Tondemi Excite Area with interactive digital games. Non-participating guardians pay 500 yen, while children using the Kids Area pay 800 yen per 90-minute session with mandatory parental supervision. Lockers with combination locks are available free of charge.
Pregnant visitors are only allowed inside as guardians and cannot participate in any activities. Visitors undergoing treatment for certain ailments or who have received special medical instructions restricting exercise are not permitted to use the facility. No alcohol consumption is allowed before or during visits, and anyone under the influence will be denied entry. Harnesses and helmets are provided and required for climbing walls and rope course activities, with staff assistance available to ensure proper fitting and safe usage.
