The cherry blossoms at Maruyama Park, especially the ancient Gion Shidarezakura (weeping cherry tree), with its drooping branches and snow-like petals, create a stage for people to seek spring during the cherry blossom season every year.
The park, nestled by the mountains and near water, with small bridges and flowing streams, along with a few houses, makes me feel as though I have returned to ancient Kyoto.
