Rokkosan Athletic Park GREENIA opened on April 3, 2021, as one of Japan's largest outdoor adventure parks on Mount Rokko in Kobe. The facility occupies land approximately six times the size of Hanshin Koshien Stadium and represents a major development in outdoor recreation for the Kansai region. The park features 164 different athletic attractions spread across multiple zones that challenge visitors through field, aerial, and water-based activities.
The park is supervised in part by Fischer's, a renowned Japanese YouTube group, who designed four of the seven areas with themes inspired by gaming and adventure concepts. The main areas include the Variety Athletic area called yahhoy, which features approximately 30 game-style attractions and a dedicated kids section for younger children. The wonder amembo waterside area contains 34 water-based challenges over a pond, available only to visitors of elementary school age and above who are taller than 110 centimeters. The de kairiki muscle athletic area offers about 20 strength-focused obstacles. Additional zones include the wonder yamambo field athletic area designed around a secret forest concept.
Visitors can experience challenges at four difficulty levels, from accessible family activities to advanced obstacles requiring significant physical ability. The park includes features like rope courses, climbing walls, suspended bridges, floating platforms, and zip slides. Photo-optimized attractions with optical illusion elements are positioned throughout the facility. The Alpine Rose restaurant operates near the pond area, offering meals including Japanese-style dishes and Fischer's collaborative menu items.
To reach GREENIA, visitors take the Rokko Cable Car from Rokko Cable Shita station to Rokko Sanjo Station, then board the Rokko Sanjo Bus to the Athletic Park Mae stop, approximately 10 minutes away. The main entrance gate is a 5-minute walk from this bus stop. Parking is available for 700 vehicles at 1,000 yen on regular days and 2,000 yen during peak seasons such as Golden Week and Obon.
Admission prices are 3,000 yen for adults, 2,500 yen for students with valid ID, 2,000 yen for elementary school students, 1,500 yen for children aged 4-6, and free for children 0-3 years old. Combination tickets are available, including the Rokko Cable Athletic Coupon bundling roundtrip cable car, unlimited bus rides, and park admission. Season passes provide approximately three visits' worth of value for the entire operating season. Visitors with disability certificates receive half-price admission for themselves and one companion. The facility operates seasonally, typically from mid-March through mid-November, and converts to Rokko Snow Park during winter months.
