We visited the Traditional Lacquer Art Studio of Naoya Takayama, World Renowned Japanese Lacquer Artist and Craftsman together with Hotta Michiyo our English speaking tour guide and interpreter.
I can recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Japanese Craft

Invigorating with stunning views and a cultural icon explained
We had a lovely time with our guide Michi, who went to a great deal of trouble to explain the history and culture behind the various points on the hiking trail. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather which of course made it even better. The tour is well worthwhile. The shrine is stunning and the climb up to the top of the mountain invigorating. The view from the top is excellent and really gives one a sense of the city of Hiroshima and its surrounding areas. We also enjoyed the tea ceremony and relaxing with the forest bathing. I would recommend this if you are coming to Hiroshima.
