Please arrive at PICOLABO 10 minutes before your scheduled time. You'll be welcomed by the staff and introduced to the day’s activity, setting the tone for an immersive cultural experience.

Start the experience by watching a brief video that explains the significance of the traditional Japanese calendar, exploring its unique features from January to December.
Duration: 15 minutes
Learn about the traditional tools used in Japanese calligraphy. Through a short video, you'll get insights into the brush, ink, and washi paper, understanding their importance in this ancient art form.
Duration: 15 minutes
Using the calligraphy tools, you'll write the calendar for the month you are participating in. This is where you get to apply your skills and experience the joy of crafting Japanese characters.
Duration: 15 minutes
Complete your calendar by writing your name in calligraphy. This final touch personalizes your creation and gives you a beautiful keepsake to take home.
The experience takes about one hour from start to finish.
Beginners and children are welcome to participate.
Participants must be 12 years or older.
The session is available in both English and Japanese.
Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little ink on.
Non-participants are limited to two people, such as companions or photographers.
No outside food or drinks are allowed during the session.
All materials are provided, so you can arrive empty-handed.
