Worth going up particularly if you get to see Mt Fuji
We wanted to visit the Mototsumiya-jinja Shrine at the top of Mt. Komagatake and see the views. The cable car runs every 10-20 mins and isn’t included in the Hakone Freepass although discount is given if you show the pass. There is a small shop and toilets at the top of the ropeway. There’s then a short walk over uneven ground from there to the shrine. Worth the visit although it was cloudy and we could t see anything of Mt Fuji.

Mount Hakone, a volcanic complex near Lake Ashi, is known for its hot springs and hiking trails. The area is popular for meditation retreats and scenic views. On clear days, Mount Fuji is visible from its slopes, adding to its spiritual atmosphere.
