No experience is necessary. The instructor will guide you through every step, starting with basic brush handling and strokes. It’s perfect for beginners.
You’ll learn how to use a calligraphy brush, create basic lines, and write your name in Japanese kanji. You may also practice writing the names of famous places in Japan.
After booking, your reservation will be tentative. We will confirm availability with the instructor and notify you once the final reservation is approved.
Please wear clothes that can get a little messy. Ink (sumi) is difficult to remove from fabric, so casual or older clothing is recommended.
Join a guided Japanese calligraphy class in Shinjuku and learn to write your name in kanji using traditional brush techniques. No experience needed—just curiosity and creativity.
