探索比叡：花園博物館通行證

Stunningly beautiful place! I wasn't sure it would be worth the long and potentially difficult trek up the mountain, but it absolutely was, and getting up there is fun and beautiful, and in true Japanese style, also pretty easy. There's a shuttle bus at the top that you can take over to Enryaku Temple, too, but the art garden was the true draw for me. Breathtaking, and definitely a do-not miss in Kyoto! (Plus, you can get away from the hordes in Gion...) I really loved my visit to this unique museum. Beautiful gift shop, too.

What a fabulous garden it is! So lush, green, and wonderful. I visited in May and there were so many flowers in bloom including wisteria, roses, daisies, poppies and so many more. The artworks are great too. I love flowers and art so it was like heaven. Getting there by ropeway and cable car is fun as well. Highly recommend it. The view of Lake Biwa is awesome, too.
