Conversation with Meiko and Kento
Very impressive to meet a Meiko and ask questions about her choice to become a geisha as a 15-16 year old. Kento told the context of the Gion district and the customs that are also there with the other residents (theater owners where geishas perform, the restaurants that provide them with food and the living places for the girls) and how you can intervene here as an outsider by invitation. So it has been hard work for him that we were allowed to sit here!

We had a great tour! Our guide Akari was very friendly, spoke perfect English and she knew a lot about the geisha culture of Kyoto. The dinner was very, very tasty and summed up an excellent experience! I would recommend everyone to try this tour
