No, this tea ceremony is designed with tables and chairs for your comfort. You can enjoy the full experience without sitting on the floor, making it accessible for guests of all ages and mobility levels.
You are welcome to take photos during the experience. However, video recording is not allowed during the instructor’s demonstration to preserve the atmosphere and respect the host’s performance.
No, the kimono is not included in the standard tour. However, a simple two-piece kimono rental is available on-site for an additional fee. It’s a great option if you’d like to enhance your cultural experience.
Guests who arrive more than 15 minutes late will be considered a no-show, and unfortunately, no refunds or rescheduling will be possible. We recommend arriving early to fully enjoy the experience.
In the event of severe weather or suspension of public transportation, the tour may be canceled for safety reasons. In such cases, we will notify you and offer options if possible.

Excellent experience in learning Japanese Tea Ceremony
What a wonderful experience learning about the Japanese Tea Ceremony! Our tea master was artful and graceful in his demonstration. His assistance translated in English. He also demonstrated how to make match tea. They were very patient with all of our questions. The 100 year old house was beautiful! The tea master comes from 17 generations of tea masters! We did this with my 75 year old mother so tables and chairs was a bonus! Highly recommend!
