Legoland Japan

LEGOLAND Japan opened in April 2017 in Nagoya, making it the eighth LEGOLAND park worldwide and the second in Asia after Malaysia. The theme park was developed by Merlin Entertainments on a 9.3-hectare site in the Kinjo Futo area of Nagoya's port district. The location was strategically chosen to revitalize the waterfront area and complement the existing attractions in Nagoya Port, including the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium and the Sea Train Land shopping complex.

The park represents a significant investment in Japan's family entertainment sector and showcases the enduring global appeal of the LEGO brand. LEGOLAND Japan features over 40 rides, shows, and attractions divided into seven themed areas: Factory, Bricktopia, Adventure, Knight's Kingdom, Pirate Shores, Miniland, and LEGO City. The centerpiece is Miniland, which displays intricate LEGO models of famous Japanese landmarks including Tokyo's Shibuya Crossing, Osaka Castle, Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Nagoya Castle, constructed from more than 10 million LEGO bricks.

Visitors can experience interactive rides such as the Submarine Adventure, where families navigate through underwater scenes, and the Dragon roller coaster in Knight's Kingdom. The park emphasizes hands-on building experiences with numerous LEGO construction zones where children can create their own designs. The LEGO Factory Tour provides insight into how LEGO bricks are manufactured, while seasonal events and workshops offer additional educational entertainment throughout the year.

LEGOLAND Japan is accessible via the Aonami Line from Nagoya Station, with the journey taking approximately 24 minutes to Kinjo Futo Station. The park is located directly adjacent to the station, requiring only a short walk. Admission tickets are priced at approximately ¥4,600 to ¥7,100 for adults and ¥3,400 to ¥5,000 for children, with prices varying by season and advance booking discounts available online. The park is designed primarily for families with children aged 2 to 12 years old. An adjacent LEGOLAND Hotel opened in 2018, offering themed rooms that enhance the immersive LEGO experience for overnight guests.
