Kobe Luminarie was first held in December 1995, the same day the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake occurred, to commemorate the victims and to express dreams and hopes for the reconstruction and revitalization of the city of Kobe.
Since then, it has been held as an event that symbolizes the hope of Kobe, while also passing on the lessons learned from the disaster.
The Kobe Luminarie is an important event for Kobe, and the 31st event has been decided.
