Sea Bass Pukarisanbashi Pier

Pukari Sanbashi Pier stands as Japan's first floating passenger terminal, completed in 1991 in the heart of Yokohama's Minato Mirai district. The unique Western-style terminal building sits atop a large floating platform, featuring two stories with a ticket office on the first floor. The pier serves as the primary terminal for the Sea Bass ferry service, which connects Yokohama Station's east exit, Minato Mirai 21, the Red Brick Warehouse, and Yamashita Park. Water taxis also operate from this terminal, linking various popular areas throughout Yokohama. The location provides visitors with convenient access to major tourist attractions while offering a distinctive perspective of the city from the water. The Sea Bass vessels are named after the Japanese sea bass, a fish native to the local rivers and estuaries.

The pier is located a short walk from Rinko Park, providing additional vantage points for scenic views. On the second floor, the floating restaurant Seafood Bistro Pier 21 allows diners to watch boats travel through the Port of Yokohama while enjoying their meals. There is no admission fee to visit the pier itself, though ferry rides and restaurant services require separate payment.
