What other travelers are saying about Kobe Port Tower
Breathtaking 360-degree views! A must-visit landmark in Kobe.
I visited the iconic Kobe Port Tower and headed straight for the rooftop open-air deck. The experience was truly spectacular!
From the roof, I could view the entire city of Kobe without any obstructions. The contrast between the lush green Rokko Mountains on one side and the sparkling blue sea of Kobe Port on the other was absolutely stunning. Feeling the breeze while taking in the 360-degree panoramic view was the highlight of my trip.
The view is incredibly fantastic and gives you a real sense of the city's unique geography.
The observation deck offers 360-degree views of Kobe, including landmarks such as the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Rokko Mountain Range, and the bustling Kobe Harbor.
Kobe Port Tower has five observation floors, each offering different perspectives and amenities for visitors to enjoy the view.
Yes, Kobe Port Tower features a stunning LED light display that illuminates the tower at night, creating a beautiful spectacle that can be seen from various points around the city.
The tower is equipped with elevators and ramps, making it accessible to visitors with disabilities.
Kobe Port Tower is conveniently located near Meriken Park and can be easily accessed by foot from JR Motomachi Station or via the Kobe City Loop Bus.
I dropped by to visit this place and bought the ticket onsite. There was no crowd as it was in the weekdays. The ground staff was really helpful and guided me to use the lift provided to go to the top.
Unfortunately not with the senior staff guarding at the top. He wasn't keen to talk to people patiently and behaved rudely. Such staff would have been better trained properly. Lovely place to visit especially when you climb to the top. The issue is when you finish at the top and want to use the lift for descending. You will be forced to use the ladder going down one floor after another with the misleading sign sticked from the top floor to 3rd floor which I think quite excessive and unacceptable gesture despite you have bought the whole ticket to get to the top.
The management would have better explained this in advance to avoid miscommunication and further issues. I couldn't imagine the chaos whenever there are lots of crowds to go down the floor one by one and then only after you can use the lift.
A great spot for fantastic views of Kobe Port. The lift takes you directly to the top. Buying the ticket for the observation deck is recommended. The walk down is fun, you spiral through different themed floors with cool art, lights, and projections.
The queue for the tiny down-lift was long, a bit messy, and hard to find the end. Still, staff were helpful and we got down finally. Worth a visit for the unique, layered experience and the views.
An incredible walk from Chinatown to Kobe Port! I was truly amazed by the modern and spacious atmosphere here. The waterfront is wide, clean, and has plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the sea breeze. At night, the illuminated Kobe Port Tower and the Mosaic Ferris Wheel make the view magical and romantic. Right nearby is the bustling Harborland and Umie shopping area, filled with delicious food and stunning photo spots. A must-visit when you are in Kobe!
A great view for a great price.
I would definitely recommend going at night but even in the afternoon looking over the pier and towards the land is incredible.
Make sure not to skip out on the other floors. There was an interactive art floor, a cafe, and a souvenir shop.
The view is breathtaking and there are some areas that is a window looking directly below. If you are afraid of heights please keep your eyes peeled and don't freak out.
I arrived in the afternoon and it was not too busy, I was able to enjoy the sights and attractions without worrying about too many people around me.
