Public transportation is convenient, with JR trains running frequently.
Arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes early to avoid missing the session. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated, and refunds will not be issued.
Travel time from Kyoto Station to Takatsuki Station is about 12 minutes by JR train. Taking a taxi from Kyoto is not recommended, as it can take over an hour and be very expensive.
Children under 5 years old cannot participate in this workshop.

The workshop starts at JR Kyoto Station and ends at JR Takatsuki Station. Your guide will ensure you board the train back to Kyoto.
The total duration includes both the experience and travel time between locations.
Kyoto Station is large, so allow extra time to find the meeting point. If unsure, ask station staff for directions to the central exit (not the Shinkansen central exit).

Meet your guide at the Central Ticket Gate of JR Kyoto Station, near Kyoto Tower. This is the starting point of the tour. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, as the tour cannot wait for late arrivals.
Take a JR train to Takatsuki Station, the nearest station to the taiko studio. The ride is short and comfortable, offering a quick view of the city.
Learn and play taiko drums with an experienced instructor. You will practice basic rhythms, play as a group, and feel the powerful sound of the drums. A Hachimaki (Japanese headband) will be provided for an authentic experience. The studio’s drums are handmade from a single tree, making this a unique cultural activity.
After the drumming session, the private car will take you back to Takatsuki Station. Your guide will make sure you are ready for your train back to Kyoto.
Your guide will help you board the train back to Kyoto Station. The tour ends here, and you will return on your own.
