Beware of choice paralysis!
Beware of choice paralysis! The selection to choose from is big. And when they hand you the fabric shears to cut the chosen kimono, anxiety could kick in. I felt in agony eyeballing the hemming. It turned out great though! Wore my new kimono outfit later that evening to a geisha experience and received plenty of compliments, including of the attending geisha. So this was a total winner!
Great experience!
We had a wonderful experience with very friendly staff and good English. For men, one piece is included in the price (yukata or haori) and the second is a surplus of 2000¥. The staff chooses kanji that match your name and gives you the meaning of each. They also make a family crest as central pieces. It just has to stick the symbols on the kimono and there it is!
