Makuhari Kaihin Park is a 55-hectare coastal park located in Mihama Ward, Chiba City, overlooking Tokyo Bay. Opened in 1978, the park was developed as part of the ambitious Makuhari New City project, which transformed reclaimed waterfront land into a modern urban center. The park represents one of Japan's successful urban planning initiatives, creating substantial green space within a highly developed area that includes the Makuhari Messe convention center and business district.

The park serves as a significant recreational area for the greater Tokyo metropolitan region, combining landscaped gardens with coastal access. For those driving, the park is located near the Wangan Expressway with parking available at 600 yen for 3 hours.
