Izu provided an informative and entertaining tour of the museum. And I applaud her professionalism displayed via the patience she showed to some those in our tour who were less than appreciative of her efforts.
And Shiho (and associate whose name I cannot recall) did a great job of dressing me as a samurai and taking dozens of pictures of me in the armor. Fantastic birthday gift for myself, that I highly recommend!

そして、志保さん（と、名前は思い出せませんが、付き添いの方もいました）は、私に侍の衣装を着せてくれて、鎧を着た私の写真を何十枚も撮ってくれました。自分への素敵な誕生日プレゼントになりました。本当におすすめです！
I recently visited the Samurai and Ninja Museum in Tokyo, eager to dive into the rich history and legendary skills of Japan’s most iconic warriors. The experience was even better than I anticipated, offering a fascinating glimpse into the world of these renowned fighters. The samurai, known for their strength, discipline, and rigorous training from a young age, were impressive to learn about. Their mastery of combat and deep sense of honor truly embodied the spirit of the warrior.
Equally captivating were the ninjas, whose stealth and espionage techniques made them legendary spies. The exhibits brought to life the way ninjas used their skills in reconnaissance, sabotage, and survival, showcasing their unique place in Japanese history.
One of the highlights of my visit was participating in the shuriken (ninja star) throwing competition. It was a fun and interactive way to test my aim, and I have to say, I think I might have discovered a hidden talent! With some more practice, who knows? I might just be on my way to becoming a modern-day ninja.
Overall, the museum was an engaging mix of history, culture, and hands-on activities. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just looking for a fun, immersive experience, the Samurai and Ninja Museum is a must-visit. 私は最近、東京のサムライ・忍者博物館を訪れ、日本を代表する戦士たちの豊かな歴史と伝説的な技を深く知りたいと思いました。予想以上に素晴らしい体験で、これらの有名な戦士たちの世界を垣間見ることができました。幼い頃からの強さ、規律、厳しい訓練で知られるサムライについて学ぶのは感動的でした。彼らの戦闘の熟練度と深い名誉心は、まさに戦士の精神を体現していました。
同様に魅惑的だったのは忍者で、彼らはステルスとスパイの技術で伝説のスパイになりました。展示では、忍者が偵察、破壊活動、生存にその技術をどのように使用したかを生き生きと再現し、日本の歴史における彼らのユニークな位置を示しました。
訪問のハイライトの1つは、手裏剣投げ競技に参加したことです。これは、自分の狙いを試す楽しくインタラクティブな方法であり、隠れた才能を発見したかもしれないと言わざるを得ません。 もう少し練習すれば、どうなるかはわかりません。現代の忍者になれるかもしれません。
全体的に、この博物館は歴史、文化、体験型アクティビティが融合した魅力的な場所でした。歴史愛好家でも、ただ楽しく没入感のある体験を求めているだけでも、サムライ・忍者博物館は必見です。教育とエンターテイメントが完璧に融合したこの博物館は、日本の武士の伝統を味わうのに最高の場所です。
東京旅行に訪れました。 the official websiteで予約をして行くと10％割引をしてくれます。入り口が直立して見つけるのが難しいので注意してください。すべてのガイドは英語で提供されているので、英語に精通していない場合は自分で見なければなりません。展示物はほとんど本物ですが文化財給の遺物ではありません。しかし、十分な見どころを提供します。忍者のことはあまりありませんが、すべてが事実として使われていて、興味を持ってきました。最後に鏢槍投げイベントで優勝すればその鏢槍(toy)をプレゼントとしてもらえます。 3,000円は少し高価ですが、それに近い価値はすると思います。
As a local Japanese, I visited without any expectations assuming this kind of things must be superficial to suffice the temporary tourists’ interests.
But it turned out as a great experience even for locals.
I highly recommend not only tourists but also Japanese to visit the museum.
By engaging activities locals would feel the importance of protection of our unique precious cultures.
Most Japanese experienced huge amount of memorization work for history subject in chronological order at school.
However, this museum enable you to retain the good memories of the digest of certain period of time in an enjoyable way through beloved emblematic characters of Samurai and Ninja.
All sessions are English, you can study history and English at a time
Sword lesson we took was conducted by an instructor Koki-san who has the background of Kendo and Iaido and his way of swinging down katana and its sound were invigorating to watch.
He conveys the image of Samurai.
Again the museum is worthwhile for Japanese as well.
It evoked me the importance of protecting our rich cultures.
You’ll see international visitors at the museum who are knowledgeable to Japanese history and respectful.
If you’re fed up with facing bad manner tourists of nowadays coming blessed by the weak yen, good chance to turn over the image.
東京に住む日本人ですが、来日のお友達に誘われ、施設を利用しました。
インバウンド向けの日本体験なので、観光客の方々に、軽く日本を味わってもらうものであろうと期待はしていなかったのですが、想像を遙かに超えるものでした。
侍や忍者という人気人物を通して、日本の歴史に興味深く触れるアプローチがいいと思います。
体験は英語で行われますので、英語勉強中の方にもいいかと。
年号で記憶が多い歴史の勉強を、展示物や体験を通して楽しく学べると思います。
刀の授業は、コウキ先生の所作が小気味よく、刀振り下ろす音も爽快です。外国人の方はコウキ先生に侍の面影をみるのではないかな。
最後に、日本人の方々にもぜひ訪れて頂きたいです。日本の文化伝統を継承する事の大切さに触れられます。此方の美術館にいらしている外国人観光客の方々は、日本の歴史や文化の知識や関心があり、最近、円安で来日が増えたお行儀の悪い方々とは一線を画します。
浅草にサムライミュージアムがあると知って行った。路上をちょっと入るとカウンターがあって、そこで話しかけると流暢な英語で対応してくれた。外国人旅行者の対応ばっちり。チケットを買って階段を上がると、また別の方が英語で話しかけてきました。で、その時にやっと自分が勘違いしているとわかりました。ミュージアムって書いてるから展示があると勝手に想像していた。違うんです。外国人が甲冑を着て刀を持って撮影する場所でした。コスプレしたいわけじゃなかったので、事情を説明して退出しました。完全に自分のミスです。すいません。
