What other travelers are saying about Samurai Ninja Museum Tokyo
This samurai experience in Asakusa was such a highlight of my Tokyo trip. The instructors were friendly and made everything easy to follow, big thanks to instructor Ryo, Yuto and Momo for supporting and answering all my questions. I loved wearing the armor and learning basic sword moves, learning more about the history. It felt authentic and fun, not just for photos. Highly recommend if you’re exploring alone and want something unique!

I absolutely adore the bunny ears samurai outfit. I want to wear it at least in my dreams. The speaker was very beautiful and kind. She spoke English very fluently and gave a very extensive explanation of the history of Samurai and ninjas. And then we had a star throwing contest and I won!!! And the prize was an ninja star. Luckily it was made of plastic so I could take it back with me on the plane. Nobody was harmed.
Interesting ninja experience with a guided experience. You get ninja training along with a guided history tour. The tour guide Izu was very enthusiastic too. It would have been better if there is an obstacle course and combat ninja training, but it's mainly practicing with shiruken and blow darts.
The samurai part is mostly taking photos so it would've been nice to be able to experience it too.
Book ahead!! Get Meg as a tour guide! She has high energy, she's funny and friendly!! It's touristy, but worth the 1 hour tour! It was a really fun way to learn about the samurai and ninja culture! Great for families too! It's a mix of musuem and hands on experience!
Our tour was in English.
