What other travelers are saying about Samurai Ninja Museum Tokyo
Fun hands-on experience, just don’t be late like we were! We visited the Samurai Ninja Museum and had a great time with the interactive experience. They walked us through everything in both English and Japanese, which was super helpful for everyone in the group. We got to watch a short demonstration, try out some ninja star throwing (and darts), and even dress up in traditional samurai and ninja gear, which made for some great photo ops!
Only tip I would give: arrive early. They start pretty much right on time, and we were about 10–15 minutes late which unfortunately meant we missed a bit of the beginning of the class. I wish they made it a little clearer in the instructions to show up 20 minutes early just to be safe. But once we jumped in, it was a fun and very family-friendly experience. Definitely worth checking out if you want a little hands-on history while you’re in Japan!
This was an amazing experience!! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable! Our tour guide was Kei and she knew ao much of the history of Samurai and Ninjas! It was super informative especially for someone who does not know much about this aspect of the culture! It was a beautiful place and I would love to return! We paid for the sword experience as well and it was quite authentic! There was also a shuriken throwing competition and it was super fun! 🥷
Fun little side quest! It's a short experience but the guides spoke great English and we're very knowledgeable, answering all questions they were asked. Throwing the shuriken was fun! They were able to accommodate our party of 2 in a slot about an hour away so not too long of a wait for us without booking beforehand
Very cool experience, you will learn a lot about history of Japan, the hierarchy of ruling, the way of samurai and ninja. Lots of interesting facts and even a shuriken throwing contest. You will get dressed as a samurai or ninja and learn some basic moves with a Japanese sword. Highly recommended.
We had an unforgettable experience at the Samurai & Ninja Museum Tokyo, and what truly made it extraordinary was our guide Meg. From the moment the tour began, Meg brought so much energy, knowledge, and warmth that we instantly felt excited and connected to the history around us.
She has a special way of engaging everyone making the experience fun, interactive, and meaningful. My cousin had the best time ever, and we both walked away with big smiles and memories we’ll never forget. The samurai armor, ninja star throwing, and storytelling were all top-notch but it was Meg who made it magical.
If you’re visiting Tokyo, don’t miss this museum. And if you get Meg as your guide, consider yourself very lucky she’s a star! 🌟
