Meg was an outstanding guide at the Samurai Ninja Museum! She did an amazing job explaining every detail of samurai armor, weapons, culture, and the hierarchy of samurai society. Her knowledge brought the history of Japan to life, from the first samurai all the way through the last samurai of the Meiji period.
What impressed me most was how carefully and enthusiastically she answered questions and added fascinating cultural insights. She even helped me understand why people walk on the left-hand side in Japan, which made the experience feel even more connected to everyday Japanese life.
Even after her energetic and informative tour had ended, Meg went above and beyond by helping us with precise directions to our next stop.

This samurai experience in Asakusa was such a highlight of my Tokyo trip. The instructors were friendly and made everything easy to follow, big thanks to instructor Ryo, Yuto and Momo for supporting and answering all my questions. I loved wearing the armor and learning basic sword moves, learning more about the history. It felt authentic and fun, not just for photos. Highly recommend if you’re exploring alone and want something unique!
I had a great experience at the Samurai Museum. The one-hour tour was definitely worth it—engaging, informative, and fun.
Our guide, Yu, explained the history of the samurai in a very interactive and easy-to-follow way, involving the whole group throughout the tour. One of the highlights was trying on a samurai outfit, which made the experience even more special. The staff were very friendly and helped us take photos, which we really appreciated.
Yu also taught us the shuriken throwing experience, and it was amazing such a fun and unique activity!
Overall, I highly recommend this tour if you’re in Tokyo and want to learn about samurai culture in an enjoyable way.
It’s an amazing and interesting tour and guide on the history of Samurai. Fuko gave very interesting explanation and presented in very clear English. Perfect for non Japanese tourist like us. Everyone including children were given opportunity to be ninja and samurai. A family friendly place.
What an amazing experience as our guide, Akira, provided us with a detailed talk about the history of the Japanese samurai and ninja. We learned about the meaning of the phrase "kamikaze" and about the last samurai battle. We also had a great time putting on the samurai costume. Thank you for a wonderful time!
