What other travelers are saying about Samurai Ninja Museum Tokyo
One of the most fun and memorable tours I've ever had! Our guide was amazing and shared so much information in an exciting and fun way. When I got there, they dressed me in a samurai outfit and took many pictures in different poses. Then, our guide tells you about the history of samurai within the general history of Japan. The swords and armor sets on display are incredible. The last section was about ninjas, giving authentic history compared to what we see in Hollywood movies. The star throwing contest at the end was super fun and I took second place out of our large group :) But the best part of the tour was our guide who was so energetic and funny. For real, this was one of the most memorable tours experiences I've ever had and would recommend it to anyone, especially groups and families.
The museum and tour were amazing, and I learned so much. One thing to note is that the tour is fully guided, which can feel both like a benefit and a drawback. On the upside, the guide was excellent—enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and spoke great English, so everything was easy to follow. On the downside, the pacing felt rushed for the price.
The samurai dress-up portion at the beginning was fun but very brief, and throughout the tour we were moved from room to room rather quickly. I enjoy taking my time to notice details, but we often only had about 2–3 minutes before needing to clear out for the next group. Tours also run in fairly large groups, depending on how many people check in at once.
That said, the overall experience was still wonderful, and I definitely recommend it if you want a unique and engaging way to learn about samurai history and culture.
We got the samurai sword experience it was definitely worth it. We learned about stances and how to use the sword. We had plenty of time to take pictures as well.
We had a competition throwing shurikans And we learned about the history as well.
While our trip was good, The cons are: the price is a bit high and there are lots of people.
Interesting to know the history of Samuri and Ninja. Worth the visit. The only disappointment was our guide was speaking way too fast like a chipmunks. Can’t made out what she was as saying. When I approach her to provide feedback perhaps may be good to slow down a little. She brush away and say as this is a fast tour, they have timing meet. Am not so sure about that. Saw the group after us, the guide was speaking in a way one can understand not at 3X the speed. Is it worth the visit, yes but say no or ask to join the later tour 30mins later if with 5mins your guide is chipmunking away.
