Osaka city cycling trip
Our guide was very kind and energetic. She took us to a lovely Shinto shrine close to a beautiful little pond with turtles. We saw the red lanterns and a couple who brought their baby for a traditional Miyamairi. My sons, who are exceptionally tall, managed to walk through some Torii gates and found the traditions interesting.
We enjoyed cycling through the city on quiet streets and along the river. The Osaka Municipal Housing Museum was especially interesting and the guide explained how people lived in previous centuries.
The lunch of Okonomiyaki was delicious and well planned because we had the castle visit afterwards and needed the rest before cycling to the Osaka castle in 36 degree heat.
All in all a successful sightseeing trip despite the excessive heat. The pace was perfect.
Biking Osaka
Bike riding is a great way to get around the city and have a feel for it. Our guide Hakuse was excellent, very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. And the lunch and tea service were great. Enjoyed!
