Begin your evening at the Otokoyama Honten Uomachi Store, a local sake shop with a long history. The building was rebuilt after the 2011 tsunami and now stands as a symbol of the town’s recovery. Staff will greet you and show you around the store.
Taste several kinds of sake that are only available at the shop. You'll learn how the sake is made and hear stories about the brewery from the people who work there.
Head to Nine One Restaurant, which overlooks the beautiful Kesennuma Bay. Enjoy a six-course Mediterranean-style dinner made with fresh local seafood. Each dish is paired with sake from the brewery. A small booklet will be provided to help you understand the food and sake pairings.
After dinner, the tour finishes at the restaurant. You can take time to enjoy the view or continue your evening on your own.
