What other travelers are saying about Misojyu Japan
Just had the most amazing miso soup I ever had.
This season, Misojyu features the "Miso Soup with Kale, Fig and Wagyu". It's simply amazing how they found the right mix of 14 ingredients and put it together with the Miso. Ordered the set and paired with Spicy Tuna onigiri (which is amazing too).
Dish is featured in NHK Asaichi show.
It's a pity that this is seasonal, else would love to come back for this again.
Regardless, the rest of the Miso soup offerings are tasty too. Definitely adding this to my list of must-go traditional Japanese food in Asakusa.
ごちそうさまでした!

Heard about this place from an acquaintance, so I decided to make a short trip to Asakusa to have a Japanese-style breakfast here after grabbing a drink from Hatoya.
The food is clean on one’s palette, and I really liked the tofu and chicken.
Disappointingly, the main highlight — miso soup — was not particularly impressive. I’ve had better miso soups at other chain restaurants.
The seating area on the first floor is tight; the second floor is more spacious. Quiet eating atmosphere even with groups.
Overall, this might be a good option if you’re a tourist residing in the area, but I wouldn’t travel to Asakusa just to try this place.
Bought takeaway set from misojyu, good was still good after getting abck to my hotel. Just wished the onigiris are bigger. The pork soup was great, but make sure to have it hot, otherwise it will be too greasy.
Most amazing miso I've ever had. Portions are actually pretty big.
The onigiri was probably the only thing that felt average.
Dividers at the tables on the second floor also felt a little off putting when sitting as a group.
Pork broth miso is one of a kind and highly recommended.
I was looking forward to an authentic Japanese breakfast experience and this place did not disappoint.
There were 10 people queueing outside when I arrived, which was a good sign.
I was soon inside, chose the set menu, and sat at one of the tiny little tables, perfectly sized to accommodate the tray of food that was soon to arrive.
Delicious food, no fuss, just an excellent experience
