该寺原名“小松寺”，据说建于1500年。一位年轻女子看到一尊被雨淋湿的观音像，心生怜悯，便脱下自己的帽子放在佛像上。这位女子（后来的玉照公主）被她的善举深深感动，便娶她为妻。寺庙重建后，更名为笠寺，意为“帽子覆盖的寺庙”。笠寺至今仍以祈求姻缘而闻名。天轮山笠寺是真言宗寺庙，属于“尾张四观音菩萨”之一，与名古屋七福寺的惠比寿菩萨相对应。寺内主尊为十一面观音菩萨（一尊秘密佛像）。尾张三钟以其新年钟声而闻名，铸造于镰仓时代，已被指定为爱知县文化财产。由于 2026 年落在笠寺观音的“吉利方位”，因此比往年更受关注。

这座寺庙俗称笠寺观音。大多数人会从西门进入寺庙，那里是参道前的商业街，但可以称为寺庙正门的仁王门位于南侧。 本尊十一面观音是秘传佛像，通常无法瞻仰其面容。相反，与本殿相邻的护摩殿里排列着许多本尊，包括不动明王、弘法大师和释迦如来，可以一览无余。 我去的那天正好是6号结束的祈祷日，所以寺庙里摆满了摊位。

「まるで泥から芽出す蓮の花」あぁ～ ヤバいって笠寺観音。泥水の中から咲く蓮の花。泥水、つまり煩悩に満ちた俗世に在っても清らかな花（悟り）が開くと言う仏教の世界観が笠寺観音には広がっているのです。やはり笠寺観音を訪れるベストシーズンは蓮の花が咲く7〜9月かと思います。 久しぶりに訪れたのですが、所々がリニューアルされている様です。尾張のシンデレラとも云うべき玉照姫のお話も、今まで認識していませんでしたが、なるほど対面にある泉増院では良い男性との縁を願う女性と思われる絵馬が沢山掛けられている。「腕を上げ光出せコラ 胸を張れ嫌々でもやぁ まだ集まる夜中 まるで泥から芽出す蓮の花」冒頭のリリックが頭の中をループします。最低な私も泥水の中でも清らかな心を持ち続けた玉照姫にあやかりたいものです。

我小时候节分的时候去过笠寺观音寺，不过这次决定再去一次。那尊观音像非常漂亮，很有特色。 寺庙周围有美丽的古镇风光，非常漂亮。 它离地铁樱本町站和新玉桥站很近，而且位于山崎川沿岸，所以这是一个新旧交融的有趣街区。
