Tokyo City View is the indoor observation deck on the 52nd floor with enclosed viewing areas. The Sky Deck is the open-air rooftop on the 54th floor without glass barriers. The Sky Deck costs an additional ¥500 and closes during bad weather.
Combination tickets for ¥2,500 include both Tokyo City View and the Mori Art Museum on the 53rd floor. Standard observation deck admission alone is ¥2,000.
Plan 45 minutes to 1.5 hours for the observation deck only. Add 1-2 hours if visiting the Mori Art Museum. Arriving 30-45 minutes before sunset allows viewing in both daylight and darkness.
Mount Fuji is visible on clear days, most reliably during winter months. The mountain is 100 kilometers away. Early mornings offer the best visibility.
Personal photography is permitted throughout both decks. Tripods and monopods are not allowed. Commercial photography requires advance permission.
