北海道で最も早く紅葉が楽しめる場所のひとつです。山の天気は変わりやすいため、登山前に公式サイトのライブカメラで状況を確認してから行くと安心です。ロープウェイに到着すると、地元のガイドが簡単に周辺の説明をしてくれ、最終の下山ロープウェイの時間にも注意を促してくれます。雨上がりの場合は泥で滑りやすくなることもあるため、登山用の雨具や雪具のレンタルも可能です。一般的には、湖を囲む遊歩道を一周して1時間半〜2時間ほどですが、普段の登山習慣によって時間は変わります。遊歩道は整備されていて特に難しい箇所はなく、いくつもの池を通り、それぞれに特徴があります。旭岳は北海道で最も高い山で、北海道を訪れるなら絶対に外せないスポットのひとつです。

The paths are well-maintained and not particularly difficult, passing several ponds, each with its own charm. Asahidake is Hokkaido’s highest peak and a must-visit spot when in Hokkaido.
