Really lovely to experience as someone who is very fond of marine life. Would definitely recommend buying tickets in advanced as I saw that the queue was extremely long as I was leaving at around 11am and would definitely be unpleasant to wait in as it starts getting hotter.
My favourites were the whale sharks, seals and jellyfish which were all so cute. I also appreciated the exhibits towards the end which called attention to coral bleaching and plastic waste in the sea and how detrimental it is to marine life.
I did feel at some points that some of the tanks were a little too small. For instance, the dolphin and seal enclosures could have been bigger as they are both highly social mammals and require a lot of space and enrichment for a fulfilled life.
The giftshop at the end was super nice to look around at and there were many lovely souvenirs available. I was however, sad to see that there was only one plushie of the harbour seals/grey seals and it was ¥8000. I would have appreciated more merch for them rather than harp seal merch despite there not even being harp seals in the aquarium.
Overall, it was a really lovely aquarium to experience and I would recommend it!🦭
