The tour was great! We highly recommend and love Kimiko!! She was so excited to tell us all about the Onsens and how they work. We were really lucky to have her as a tour guide!
Fabulous guided tour of Beppu Hot Springs & Garden
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting our guide Tomoko who took us on a terrific tour of the Hot Springs & beautiful gardens in Beppu. We certainly wouldn’t have been able to see or get around the area so easily without her help. Tomoko is such a delightful person & we really enjoyed chatting to her.
Some of the pool colours are amazingly different due to the mineral content. Steam vents are everywhere & you can choose to drink the water or steam your own food or have a foot bath. We returned to the Beppu train station by a local bus after a most enjoyable afternoon. We were particularly lucky that it did not rain!
