Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant near Lake Kawaguchi or in the Hakone area. You can try delicious Japanese food at your own expense, as lunch is not included in the tour price.
Our family had a great day out to Mount Fuji and Hakone with our guide Ryu. He suggested we leave early to avoid traffic which was a good idea. He is extremely knowledgeable and has years of experience as a guide in the area. The tour is a good way to get an overview of both areas but if you do have the time I suggest doing Hakone on a seperate day due to travel time between the two areas. It was wery nice, driver took us where we wanted. It was cloudy so we didn't go to the first station of Fuji but the driver took us to a village side and other nice places.
