Visitors to Tsuken Island can explore quiet beaches including Tsuken Beach, known for calm waters suitable for swimming and snorkeling during warmer months. The island's single paved road circles the perimeter, making it accessible for cycling or walking tours that typically take 2-3 hours to complete. Local farms occasionally offer fresh carrots and produce, and small shops near the port provide basic refreshments. Stone-walled paths between agricultural plots and coastal viewpoints offer photography opportunities of traditional Okinawan landscapes.

Access to Tsuken Island requires taking a ferry from Heshikiya Port in Uruma City, with crossings operated by Tsuken Kaiun ferry service. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes, with multiple daily departures though schedules vary by season. Ferry tickets cost around ¥370-¥400 for adults roundtrip.
