Worth a day of wandering around looking for rabbits and uncrowded beach.
I took a 30-minute ferry from Heshikiya Port on the main island to visit Tsuken Island.
This was my second time in Okinawa, but my first time at the beach. The emerald green water was crystal clear all the way to the ocean, and I was so impressed! 🐬🏝✨️
The main focus of this trip was marine sports, and I tried flyboarding, banana boating, and marble boating, all of which were a lot of fun.
The cool water felt so refreshing in the hot summer, and I was able to experience an extraordinary space. It was a great day.
Next time, I'd like to visit Miyakojima or Ishigakijima. 😌🌊
Located a 15-minute high-speed boat ride from Yakena Port in Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture, this island is also known as Carrot Love Land. The entire island is run by carrot farmers and fishermen. Rental bicycles were available at Higashi Shoten, about a 10-minute walk from the port, for 500 yen per ride.
Recommended for those who want to escape from everyday life and relax.
There are no convenience stores on the island.
Only a handful of privately owned shops and a few restaurants.
The entire island is just under 7 kilometers, so even with detours, you can walk around in about 2.5 hours.
But you're sure to find something you won't find on Okinawa's main island.
