Ise Grand Shrine was simple yet impressive.
Mikimoto Pearl Farm had displays of pearls and artwork that was beautiful.
Futami Okitama Shrine was very nice to see even if with rain and strong winds.
Guide Mir gave a lot of detailed information about all the places.
Ise Jingu and Meoto Iwa
I took the tour to Ise Jingu and Meoto Iwa during the winter holidays. There were many people in Ise because it is a place of prayer, and it was very beautiful and evocative. At the Meoto Iwa rocks, there were no people, and we enjoyed the sunset. Our guide, Shoko, was excellent at telling us the history of Ise. The only downside was the long bus ride, but that was due to the highway traffic those days. I recommend this tour to see one of the most important sacred sites in Japan.
