To visit Super Nintendo World in Osaka, start with admission to Universal Studios Japan. Then choose how you will access the Nintendo area: try for same-day timed entry, or buy an eligible Express Pass that explicitly includes area admission. These are separate decisions, and a standard park ticket alone does not guarantee access to Super Nintendo World.
Ticket rules checked against Universal Studios Japan’s official guidance on 26 September 2026. Use the current booking calendar for your visit date; the yen total at checkout is more useful than an old US-dollar price range.

Studio Pass: your admission to Universal Studios Japan. Select the correct date and guest age categories in the official ticket store.
Area timed entry: access to Super Nintendo World when controlled entry is operating. The official timed-entry guide explains availability and restrictions.
Universal Express Pass: an optional, separately priced product for specified attractions. Only a pass whose listed benefits include Super Nintendo World area admission provides that benefit. Check the exact Express Pass inclusions before paying.
Compare the complete cost for your party: park admission, any optional Express Pass, and transport. Do not assume that two similarly named passes cover the same rides or time slots. Keep your park date and Express Pass date together when comparing options.
We'll build a costed, pre-planned Japan itinerary you can customise to your taste.

Before the visit, install or update the official USJ app. Register the park admission tickets for everyone who wants to enter together.
After entering the park, request an available Super Nintendo World time through the app. Registering tickets at home does not reserve a free area time in advance.
Select the whole party and a time that fits your other bookings. Once issued, the area, time and number of people cannot be changed.
At the assigned time, show the entry ticket in the app. Keep the app installed and your phone charged until the ticket has been used.
Availability can end when capacity is reached. On some days the area may allow entry without a timed ticket, but plan around the instructions shown on the day. If a standby lottery is offered, receiving a standby ticket does not mean that you have won entry.
An eligible Express Pass can be useful when Super Nintendo World is the main reason for your visit, you have only one park day, or your group wants the same scheduled attractions. Check each guest’s ride requirements and the assigned times before you decide. A pass can be poor value if the included rides do not suit your group.
Express access reduces the wait for the listed attractions; it does not promise an empty queue. Area admission also does not reserve a restaurant, shop, photo opportunity or every ride. Leave space between timed commitments instead of filling every hour.
You can choose to visit without an Express Pass. That keeps the ticket budget lower, with more uncertainty about area access and ride queues. Make a second plan for the rest of USJ so the day does not depend on one unconfirmed entry slot.

There is no reliable single US-dollar price for this visit. Studio Pass prices depend on the selected date and guest category; Express Pass prices depend on the product and date. Check the official store’s current yen price, then allow for your payment provider’s exchange rate and fees.
Choose your visit date before choosing hotels or rail journeys around a specific park time. If your dates are flexible, compare several available dates.
Check that the Studio Pass covers the visit date, and that any Express Pass explicitly lists the area admission and attractions you want.
Compare the total for all adults and children. Read age, height, cancellation and time-slot conditions before paying.
Save the complete ticket and booking confirmation. Follow the seller’s instructions for admission; avoid screenshots or codes offered for resale by an unknown person.

Keep the park day in your Osaka stay rather than combining it with a long intercity transfer. A late arrival from Tokyo leaves less flexibility for timed admission, and a tight evening train booking can force you to leave before your last activity. An Osaka overnight on either side gives you more room to adapt.
For families, plan meals, breaks and phone charging before adding extra attractions. Read our Japan family holiday guide to compare routes with fewer hotel changes, or use the 14-day Japan itinerary to fit Osaka into a longer trip.
Street go-kart tours are separate activities outside the theme park. They do not provide Nintendo-area admission, and their driver and licence requirements must be checked with the operator before booking.

Experience an exhilarating one-hour street go-kart adventure through Osaka's vibrant neighborhoods, guided by a professional.
Can I reserve the free timed entry before I arrive? You can register your party’s admission tickets in the app beforehand, but the same-day timed-entry request is made inside the park. An eligible advance Express Pass is a different product.
Does every Express Pass include Super Nintendo World? No. Read the listed area and attraction benefits for the specific pass and date. A product name or a picture of Mario is not enough to establish what is included.
What if timed entry has run out? Follow the app’s current instructions, including any standby option. Lottery entry is uncertain. Staff can explain that day’s operation, but another booking service cannot create capacity that the park has not released.
