Just follow this itinerary. 3 nights, 4 days in Kumamoto, a small Japanese city, with a child.

You can think of all Kumamoto shopping as taking place either here or near Kumamoto Station. There is a large supermarket in the basement here. There are lots of good-value sushi and bento boxes, so on a tiring day, you can buy them here and enjoy them at your accommodation.

This place always has a wait. Even though we went after lunch, I think we waited for over 30 minutes. Compared with Jeju Yeondon, both are so delicious that it's impossible to decide which is better. If you choose the children's menu, they also give small gifts that kids like.

The location is amazing. It's inside the arcade street. The prices are affordable, making it perfect for two people. There are restaurants galore nearby.

To get to Yushima, you have to take a small boat like a fishing boat from here. Only cash payments are accepted, and there are boats only 4 times a day, so make sure to check the schedule carefully before you go.

There are more cats than island residents, so it is known as Cat Island! Since it is a small island, you can walk around the entire island in 30~40 minutes. The island children are extremely polite. Highly recommended if you like cats. Even though it has been a long time since we went, whenever I mention Cat Island, my child remembers it right away.

Depending on the weather, the volcanic crater may or may not be open. It all depends on your weather luck, so it’s hit or miss. The site said it was closed, but we waited for 30 minutes, and then it suddenly opened because they said the weather had improved.

It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk from the crater to here along the mountain trail. Be sure to take the bus ㅎㅎ It feels a bit like Jeju Island. Horse meat is a delicacy.
