Late March to early April when the 400-year-old weeping cherry tree blooms. The tree stands 30 meters tall with branches spreading 20 meters wide. Autumn also attracts visitors for maple foliage in the Nichi-dani valley.
The Bodaitei staircase has 287 steps and takes 20-30 minutes to climb. An inclined elevator is available at Seishin Parking Lot. The ropeway takes 7 minutes to reach the 1,153-meter summit and costs approximately ¥1,400-¥1,500 round-trip.

Sutra calligraphy experience is included with treasure museum admission of ¥300. Visitors trace Buddhist scriptures using brush and ink. No prior experience required.
