Nara Trip by Kintetsu Limited Express Aoniyoshi!
And visit Nara National Museum Special Exhibition: Yoshino and Omine until June 7th (Sun)
Aoniyoshi. It's a luxury train with feeling comfortable. After arrival at Kintetsu Nara station. It's a 15-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station to the Nara National Museum.
The Mountains of Gods and Buddhas: Yoshino and Omine - Prayers and Beauty Dedicated to Zaō Gongen -
Yoshino and Omine, a mystical spot in Nara, is a sacred site of Shugendō (mountain asceticism), visited by many emperors and nobles. It even appears in history textbooks, mentioning Emperor Go-Daigo of the Nanboku-chō period. Many treasures are on display for the first time. Photography is prohibited.
I visited the special exhibition on Yoshino and Mt. Omine, which runs until June 7th. It was crowded, but the large-screen image of Zao Gongen was impressive, and I felt the Buddha's compassion, as if I were being embraced by him. In the Buddha statue hall, you can also see the Nio statues from Kinpusen-ji Temple until September 13th, and you can experience their power up close. The other exhibits were also wonderful, and even a whole day wasn't enough to see everything.
