teamLab Planets Tokyo

teamLab Planets is a digital art museum in Tokyo's Toyosu district that opened in July 2018 and is now extended until at least 2027. Created by the art collective teamLab, it pioneered the "Body Immersive" concept, where you walk barefoot through water and physically interact with responsive digital installations that change based on your movement and the seasons.

The museum features four large-scale installation spaces and two gardens across 10,000 square meters. Key experiences include wading through knee-deep water in illuminated spaces, walking through the Infinite Crystal Universe with countless LED lights creating cosmic environments, and floating in domes surrounded by ever-changing digital flowers.

The outdoor area includes over 13,000 live orchids suspended mid-air and mirrored moss gardens. Each visit differs as installations transform continuously throughout the day.

teamLab Planets is accessible via the Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line, approximately one minute walk from Exit 1A. Alternatively, visitors can reach the museum from Toyosu Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, which is about a ten-minute walk away.

Standard admission tickets cost approximately ¥3,800 for adults and ¥1,300 for children aged 4-12, with children under 3 entering free. Advance online booking is strongly recommended, as the museum frequently sells out, particularly during weekends and holidays.
