The brewery has operated as a family business for over three centuries, established by a founder from Omi-Hino (modern-day Hino City in Shiga Prefecture) who served as a vassal of Gamo Ujisato. Tenryo Sake Brewery is located at 1289-1 Hagiwarachō Hagiwara, Gero, Gifu 509-2517. From Nagoya Station, take the JR Tokaido Main Line to Gifu Station, then transfer to the JR Takayama Main Line and disembark at Hida Hagiwara Station. The brewery is situated in Hagiwara town, conveniently located near the famous Gero Onsen hot springs. No reservation is required for individual visits, though groups of more than 10 persons must make advance reservations. Additional sake varieties can be purchased at the shop at Tenryo no Sato.
