Traveler reviews
I tried some freshly squeezed unpasteurized sake at a liquor store and was so shocked by how delicious it was that I decided to visit the brewery. The limited edition sake and of course all the other sakes were all delicious, so I bought some as souvenirs from Gero. They were a big hit with the recipients!
I used to dislike amazake, but now I love Tenryo Shuzo's amazake! I keep buying it over and over again!
I'm so grateful for the delicious water and rice.
It's a dream come true to be able to browse the shop while sampling drinks.
There are six types of sake on the server, and you get five coins. Choosing and drinking while getting recommendations was a really enjoyable experience.
I definitely want to go again!
As soon as you enter, there are displays of sake rice ears. They are Yamadanishiki and Hidahomare, with Yamadanishiki being larger. Apparently, Yamadanishiki, which wouldn't normally grow in cold climates, is now thriving due to global warming. The display was befitting of a sake brewery that focuses on local rice.
The sake was beautifully displayed, and they also had sake vessels and merchandise for sale. I bought some Hinoya Kimoto sake, which can only be found in the refrigerator, as well as a sparkling sake called Sumasuma, and an original sake cup.
The owner and landlady were very kind, and I enjoyed my shopping experience.
After tasting and comparing the delicious alcoholic drinks, I found my favorite and purchased it.
While traveling, I was attracted by the signs for "Tenryo Morning Market" and turned off the national highway, where I found Tenryo. It was my first time visiting.
I had already purchased a Tenryo at the inn, so I only had a look around.
The store is spacious and well worth a look.
It seems you can also sample the sake.
The sake lees are apparently available around November, so I'd like to visit again around that time.
