Akihito was a fantastic guide who went above and beyond. He even took multiple pictures along the way and sent all of his videos and pictures over to us at end of excursion. We booked a private tour with Yuri and Hiro, and it was fantastic! We opted for the tea ceremony, and I was pleasantly surprised that we got to participate ourselves. Nagasaki has such a deep history, and it was incredibly moving to be guided by Yuri—especially since her family lived so close to the Hypocenter. Hearing her share personal stories of how her family was impacted by such a tragic event was a truly powerful experience.
