Came here at perfect timing
Each flower has their own blooming season so if you dont do your research then you wont be able to see these “ shibazakura” bloom beautifully
This place deserves to get a higher rating becos a lot of ppl are giving less stars just becos they didn’t come at the right season
We came here by bus from kawaguchiko station then there was a direct bus to get back to Shinjuku.
Cute, touristy, probably much better when it's not cloudy. I was particularly disappointed that more than half of the grounds were dug up soil with no flower beds. We went during the week so it was quiet with not a lot of people. They must use this time to prepare for the next season. Understandable, but strange since they are advertising the season in flyers at local shops. We visited October 10th, three days before the supposed end of season, and it was, unfortunately, underwhelming. I can see it being great under the right circumstances, but it was only okay for us for our visit.
⭐️ This Rainbow Flower Festival 2024 is of floral beauty at the Fuji Motosuko Resort. This place actually looks like a movie, so beautiful and has beautiful photo locations. So you can get a photo as much as you want. 🥰🥰 make sure the weather is good when you go there because if it rains you miss the Fuji san view in your photos 😋😋😋 the ticket price is ¥1000 for one person and parking is free. If you want to see more about it, go and check my YouTube channel * Yasi N Anji * and don't forget to subscribe. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Was So SO lovely, we went with family for a walk around and it was really nice. the kids enjoyed it a lot. especially the flowers. Though it was cloudy and Mount Fuji was not visible but either way it was really nice! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!! its not that long of a walk either so it’s perfect for any age to go and visit. HAVE FUN!
The best time depends on your interests. April to May offers the clearest views of Mount Fuji and coincides with the nearby Shibazakura Festival. Summer months from June to August are ideal for water activities like kayaking and fishing, though Mount Fuji may be obscured by clouds. Autumn, particularly October to early November, provides stunning fall foliage and generally stable weather. Winter can be cold but offers crisp air and excellent photographic conditions, though some facilities may have limited operations.
Yes, swimming is permitted in Lake Motosu during the summer months. The water remains quite cold year-round due to the lake's depth and elevation, typically ranging from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius even in summer. The lake's exceptional clarity makes it popular for swimming, though the temperature can be challenging for extended periods. Designated swimming areas are available at certain beaches around the lake.
Yes, the resort is family-friendly and offers various activities suitable for children. The shallow areas near the shore are safe for supervised play, and the camping facilities provide a comfortable outdoor experience. Fishing, nature walks, and paddleboarding are accessible activities for families. However, parents should note that some water activities require supervision due to the lake's depth, and the area can be quite remote with limited dining options nearby.
Advanced booking is strongly recommended, especially during peak seasons including Golden Week in late April/early May, summer weekends from July to August, and autumn foliage season in October. The resort's camping sites fill quickly during these periods. Off-season visits may allow walk-in availability, but contacting the resort beforehand ensures you secure your preferred accommodation type and location.
Mount Fuji is visible from Fuji Motosuko Resort, offering the iconic view featured on Japanese currency. However, visibility depends heavily on weather conditions and season. Early morning hours typically provide the clearest views before clouds develop. Winter and early spring generally offer better visibility than summer when clouds frequently obscure the mountain. Even on cloudy days, the lake itself and surrounding natural scenery make the visit worthwhile. Checking weather forecasts and Mount Fuji visibility reports before your visit is advisable.
