What other travelers are saying about Fuji Subaru Land
Super chill atmosphere for the parents as the kids run and play in the park. Lots to see and do for the kids. The staff were awesome! Very friendly, you can tell that the love what they do. My kids could have stayed in the card maze all day. It was a big hit with them
For a start, do not expect this park to be a Disney or universal studio. Park has its own charms.
We had lots of fun at the park. We only had time for one park so chose subaruland over Fuji Q. Turns out to be a wonderful choice!
Park looks old but well maintained. Everything is in Japanese but nothing Google translate can't solve.
Notable Attractions include a maze, escape room, tower slide, 5 storey maze, mini golf, ATV ride and a trail bicycle ride, all set in a tranquil forest setting.
Engaging for kids. While it is true all the attendants are elderly folks, they were dedicated and cheerful.
We left the park with my boy wanting more!
Will recommend the park to all families with young kids.
I love the way the park is old fashioned but fun. It is clean and the benches are all without a mud or dust. The facilitators are mostly elders and I pity that they need to work still but they are very much able and strong and they look like they having fun too. There aren’t a lot of visitors when we visited so we didn’t have to fall in line at all. The trees are beautiful in autumn.
We had a great time at Fuji Subaru Land! I came with my 4 kids (ages 7, 5, 3, and a baby), and overall it was a fun experience. The 7 and 5-year-olds especially loved the park — there were lots of exciting things for them to explore and play with.
For younger kids under 4, there aren’t as many attractions they can enjoy, but it’s still a nice place to walk around and spend time as a family.
We visited on a weekday and there was no wait at all, which made everything super easy and stress-free. The park is clean, safe, and very family-friendly. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area with kids!
Fuji Subaru Land is a nature-themed outdoor park that emphasizes animal interactions and family-friendly activities rather than high-speed rides. The park's main attraction is the Doggy Park where visitors can pet dogs for free and pay extra to walk them. It also features Japan's first landing "Roll Glider-Poppol Skywalk" and offers scenic Mount Fuji views on clear days.
Most visitors spend approximately 2 hours at the park. This allows enough time to enjoy the main attractions, interact with the dogs, experience the Roll Glider ride, and take in the Mount Fuji scenery. The compact size makes it suitable for a half-day excursion.
Take the Limited Express "Kaiji" from Tokyo to Otsuki Station (about 1 hour), then transfer to the Fujikyu Railway to Kawaguchiko Station (about 1 hour). From Kawaguchiko Station, use the free local shuttle buses that operate around the Fujikawaguchiko area. Total travel time is approximately 2.5-3 hours from central Tokyo.
Yes, while basic dog petting is included with admission, walking the dogs requires an additional fee. Individual attractions and activities within the park carry separate charges beyond the basic admission fee. Food services are available on-site, though options may be limited during off-peak seasons.
The park is particularly recommended during warmer months when all outdoor attractions are fully operational. Clear weather days offer the best Mount Fuji views, though the mountain's visibility depends on weather conditions. The facility operates year-round, but some activities may be limited during colder seasons.
