What other travelers are saying about Futako Tamagawa Rise Skate Garden
I visited on the 30th of December. I wasn't there to skate, but just to check it out as my friend's grandson wanted to use the rink. The rink was packed with children, about elementary school age. I took this photo after they all left, presumably to be changing rooms. The next group of parents and children were heading out, causing a traffic jam in front of the reception area. There were autographs of Olympic athletes on display on the wall in front of the wreath and helmet area.
This leisure rink appears only in winter between the buildings of Futako Tamagawa Rise. It is relatively empty during the day on weekdays, making it an easy rink for adult figure skaters to practice on their own or for beginners. Experienced staff members also offer one-point lessons! Even if you show up suddenly, there are rental shoes available so you can enjoy skating casually. However, you cannot enter the rink without gloves, so please bring your own or purchase them at the rental shoe store. Beginners can also rent helmets and protectors. Lockers are also available for storing valuables and other personal belongings.
It's located at Futako Tamagawa Rise and is only open in winter. The skating rink is made of a special resin so even if you fall, you won't get wet.
There are skating lessons taught by famous skaters.
I was able to have a different experience with my child.
He even held my hand 😁.
I might consider taking a trial class if I get the chance.
The assistive devices are charged at 500 yen for 20 minutes, but they are collected earlier than the scheduled time. When I rented them, I was told that the rental would start at 9:00 and was limited to 25 minutes. The person was a young man with a part-time job face. Even though I paid a high fee in total, it left a bad memory. The management should provide better training for this staff member. The system is good, as you can take lessons and rent assistive devices. I will not be going there again.
