What other travelers are saying about Legoland Japan
If you’re a hardcore Lego fanatic or have little kids 7yo or under, you’d find hours of fun at Legoland. Don’t expect a Tokyo Disneyland experience though, the park is a lot smaller and probably only has two rides that will thrill older kids and adults (The Dragon and Flying Ninjago). Admittedly this place has more to do with Lego than rides and it does a reasonable job to place those colourful bricks at the centre, quite literally with an interactive outdoor exhibit that takes guests through different regions of Japan in miniature format. I was pleased to find ‘normal’ food options (not fried food or pizza) at Knight’s Kingdom but less impressed about the absence of a single water fountain in the entire park. A good option if you have three hours to spare in Nagoya with little kids.
LEGOLAND Japan is specifically designed for families with children aged 2 to 12 years old. Most attractions, rides, and interactive experiences are tailored to this age group, with height requirements and difficulty levels appropriate for younger children. Teenagers and adults without young children may find the park less engaging, as it focuses primarily on hands-on LEGO building activities and gentle to moderate rides rather than intense thrill attractions.
Take the Aonami Line from Nagoya Station directly to Kinjo Futo Station, which takes approximately 24 minutes. LEGOLAND Japan is located immediately next to the station, requiring only a short walk of about 2 to 3 minutes. The Aonami Line is a dedicated rail service that runs frequently throughout the day, making access straightforward for visitors staying in central Nagoya or arriving at Nagoya's main transportation hub.
While tickets can be purchased at the gate, booking in advance online is strongly recommended. Online tickets are typically cheaper than gate prices, with discounts of ¥500 to ¥1,000 per ticket commonly available. Additionally, pre-booking guarantees entry on busy days when the park may reach capacity, particularly during Japanese school holidays, weekends, and special event periods. Date-specific tickets purchased online also help you plan your visit more effectively.
Yes, most rides at LEGOLAND Japan have specific height requirements for safety reasons. Requirements typically range from 80cm to 130cm depending on the attraction, with some rides allowing smaller children to participate if accompanied by an adult. Popular attractions like the Dragon roller coaster require a minimum height of 90cm, while the Submarine Adventure can accommodate children as short as 80cm with adult supervision. Detailed height requirement information is displayed at each attraction entrance.
Yes, one day is generally sufficient to experience all major attractions at LEGOLAND Japan, as it is smaller than other LEGOLAND parks worldwide. With over 40 attractions spread across a 9.3-hectare site, most families can complete the main rides, shows, and Miniland exhibits within 5 to 7 hours. Arriving at opening time and visiting on weekdays outside school holidays will help you avoid long queues and maximize your experience. However, families who want to participate in multiple workshops or revisit favorite attractions may prefer a more leisurely two-day visit, especially if staying at the adjacent LEGOLAND Hotel.
This is a must visit place for all the Lego fans. Please buy the ticket online - that will safe money and time plus if you had an option to go weekdays - the fee is so much cheaper than the weekend. We visited during weekday - rides were not that busy and we enjoyed few rides. I was very impressed with mini land - all the Japanese landmarks from different cities. They have burger and chips with Lego shapes - which are very cute. Overall , we had a great time in Lego land:
We visited Legoland Nagoya and overall it was a very good experience, definitely worth the money. Booking tickets online in advance gave us a nice discount, which made it feel even more worthwhile. Going on a weekday turned out to be the best decision, since the park was less crowded and queuing times were very short. It really allowed us to make the most of the day.
Most of the attractions are clearly designed for smaller children, but my 10- and 8-year-old sons still had an amazing time. They loved repeating the same rides and play zones over and over for hours without getting bored. It was great to see how happy and engaged they were, even if some of the attractions felt a bit simple for their age.
The whole park is colorful, cheerful, and full of Lego details that bring back a sense of wonder. It’s very clean and organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. There are also enough rest areas and food options to make the visit comfortable, though I would say the meals are on the pricier side — which is pretty normal for theme parks.
Overall, I give Legoland Nagoya 4 stars. It’s especially perfect for families with younger children, but even older kids who love Lego will find plenty to enjoy. With the online ticket discount, short queues on weekdays, and the joy it brought to my kids, it was definitely a fun and memorable family outing.
An amazing theme park for both adults who have never lost their inner child, and parents with children of all ages.

It's a must visit destination when you're in Nagoya.
In my opinion, this recreation park is more worth visiting than USJ and Disneyland/Sea for those of you who are visiting with children, because I was on vacation with my son (4 yo), we were able to enjoy almost 95% of the rides. Most queues are only 5 minutes, the food choices at the restaurant are kid-friendly. Visiting here in 1 day is more than enough, make time to stop by here, it's so fun!
