I stopped off here on my way from Tottori to Okayama. I wanted to have lunch, so I asked the tourist information center for recommendations on local cuisine. However, since I arrived after lunchtime, there was only one place I could eat, but they told me it was a secret menu item. I went to the restaurant they recommended and ordered the horumon udon, which was on the secret menu. It was delicious. There was also a train museum behind the station, which I wanted to go to, but I didn't have time, so I gave up this time. However, there are also castle ruins, so I think it's a great place for sightseeing.
I stopped by here while I was changing trains at Tsuyama Station.
You can buy souvenirs from Tsuyama, and the atmosphere is generally warm.
They even have a product called "Aishite Shine Muscat," a play on Namie Amuro's hit song.
The sakura lemonade was delicious.
I was able to drink it all the way to Himeji Station on the Kishin Line without the ice melting.

They have a variety of local specialties, as well as alcohol, from one-cup bottles to bottled products, so there's a wide selection to choose from depending on your occasion.
I wonder if they also use it as a bus waiting room? The new facility is clean and quite spacious inside.

On your way from the station ticket gate to the tourist information centre (by the station fence), there is an introduction sign featuring Inaba of B'z, a local native, so it's a must-see for B'z fans in particular!
I was thinking of going to Nakayama Shrine and asked if I wanted to rent a bicycle.
They were very helpful and gave me lots of information, including the bus times that pass right in front of the shrine.
They also suggested that it would be better to rent a bicycle since it was quite a distance away, which was very helpful.
