Bizan Park is open 24 hours daily and admission is completely free. The park offers stunning panoramic views of Tokushima city and is accessible year-round, making it a popular destination for both sunrise and sunset viewing.
Bizan Park is accessible via the Bizan Ropeway cable car, which operates from Bizan Station near JR Tokushima Station. The ropeway runs every 15 minutes and takes about 6 minutes to reach the summit. You can also hike up Mount Bizan via walking trails that take approximately 45-60 minutes.
Bizan Park offers spectacular 360-degree views of Tokushima city, the Yoshino River, and surrounding mountains. Key attractions include the observation deck, hiking trails, seasonal cherry blossoms in spring, autumn foliage, and excellent photography opportunities. The park is also famous for night views of the illuminated city below.
Cherry blossom season at Bizan Park typically peaks in early April, making it one of Tokushima's top hanami spots. For autumn foliage, visit from mid-November to early December when the mountain is covered in vibrant red and orange maple leaves. Both seasons offer exceptional photography opportunities.
Bizan Park is family-friendly with paved walkways around the summit area and safety barriers at viewing points. The ropeway is wheelchair accessible, and the main observation areas can accommodate wheelchairs. However, some hiking trails may be challenging for young children, so the cable car is recommended for families.
