Mohri Garden is designed as a walking garden arranged around a central pond called Hyotan Pond, which you can view from a scenic bridge. The garden is famous for being one of Japan's premier "Nioi-zakura" gardens, meaning it's planted to provide color and visual interest throughout all four seasons. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms, azaleas, and autumn leaves depending on the season. You can also tour the 1916 main residence made entirely of Japanese cypress with gold-flake painted panels, and visit the Mohri Museum to see National Treasures.
