Yes, general admission to Nishiki Onuma Park is free. However, specific facilities within the park require separate fees. The camping facilities charge approximately ¥4,400 per night for auto park sites that can accommodate up to five people, while the on-site hot spring facility Yunomi no Yu costs ¥600 per person. Free Wi-Fi is available in the auto-campground area, though not throughout the entire park.
The park offers seasonal activities throughout the year. During summer months, visitors can enjoy canoeing on the ponds, viewing iris blossoms in June, and camping. From late January to late February, the frozen pond allows for smelt fishing, a unique winter experience. Year-round activities include walking the trails around both ponds, using the park golf courses, and relaxing at the natural hot spring facility. The park remains open all year, making it accessible regardless of season.
The park features two main trail loops: Nishiki Konuma offers a 1.6 km circuit, while Nishiki Onuma provides a longer 3.5 km course. Depending on which route you choose, walks take between 20 to 50 minutes. The trails include bridges and viewing platforms that provide scenic perspectives of the ponds and surrounding natural environment.
The Auto Resort Arten facility within the park features 209 campsites, 10 bungalows, 3 log houses, and 28 cottages. The auto-camping sites are equipped to handle different camping styles, from basic tent camping to family group sites with water utilities and electric hookups. Winter camping is supported through the accommodation structures, which provide comfort during colder months. Campers can use the nearby hot springs facility free of charge.
