Okayama Prefectural Forest Park spans 334 hectares in the northern mountains of Okayama Prefecture, established in 1970 as one of Japan's premier natural recreation areas. Located in Kagamino Town, the park was created to preserve the region's diverse forest ecosystems while providing educational and recreational opportunities for visitors seeking to experience Japan's natural heritage.

Entry is free, though camping requires reservations and fees starting at ¥310 per person. The park operates daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with extended summer hours until 6:00 PM. Museum admission costs ¥200 for adults and ¥100 for children.
