Join a fun and hands-on pottery workshop in Okayama, where you’ll get to create your very own Bizen ware. This traditional pottery style has been around for over 2,000 years and is famous for its natural, unglazed finish.

At the Osafune studio, you’ll spend two hours shaping and designing pottery using 1kg of clay. Whether you want to make a plate, a vase, or a cup, expert potters will guide you step by step, making it perfect even for beginners.

Good to Know

Wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty, as clay work can be messy.
All tools and materials, including 1kg of clay, will be provided.
Finished pieces will be fired in a kiln and are subject to drying and firing times; they will be shipped to your address once ready.
Please arrive at the studio 10 minutes before the scheduled time to ensure a prompt start.
Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The studio is wheelchair accessible, providing inclusivity for all guests.

10:10 AM - Pottery Classes Begin/

Begin by selecting the type of item you wish to create, whether it's a plate, cup, or vase. Our instructors will guide you through the process from the raw clay to the final shape of your creation. Enjoy molding and shaping your piece as you learn about the traditional techniques of Bizen ware pottery. Your creation will be fired in the kiln and later shipped to you once it’s ready.
