You’re welcome to place rental requests from 7:40 AM to 2:45 PM. Please note, equipment return times can fluctuate with the seasons, so we recommend checking the specific timings upon your arrival at the resort.

Once activated, how long will my pass be valid?

Your JR East Pass grants you five consecutive days of travel, ideal for those keen on exploring a variety of destinations in the Tohoku area without the inconvenience of securing individual tickets.

Are there restrictions on the trains or seats accessible with the pass?

The pass entitles you to unlimited journeys on specified JR East lines, but be aware that certain services or premium carriages like Green Cars or GranClass may incur extra charges. Ensure you’re familiar with the services and lines covered by your pass.

How can I collect my physical pass after making an online booking?

Once you've made your booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Present this email along with your non-Japanese passport at any green ticket machine located at specified stations to collect your physical pass.

Note: Trains that start and end on Tobu Railway lines aren't included. Ensure your Tobu Railway train starts or ends at a JR station to use your JR East PASS (Nagano, Niigata area).

This pass won't work on the Tokaido Shinkansen; that's run by someone else.
The pass doesn’t cover some parts of the Ōito Line and Hokuriku Shinkansen. For the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Itoigawa, buy a regular and an express ticket.
